Peak Lenin was first climbed in 1928. It stands separately from all other peaks of  Snow Leopard program. The peak is situated in the south of Pamir mountain System, on the border of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. It has 16 routes. The classical route (Kyrgyz side) lies through Razdelnaya peak – 6170m. If you want to try the real altitude of 7000 before something above 8000 – climb peak Lenin is your choice!

Dates, duration – 24 August-12 September 2012, 20 days

Difficulty of the route - High-altitude walk without any  technical difficulties. Use of ice axe and rope is a must.

Itinerary

Day 1 – Flight from Moscow to Osh

Day 2 – Transfer to Achik-Tash camp (3600)

Day 3 – Hike around

Day 4 – Trekking (18km) to BC(4400) and settle down. It is very recommended to hire horses for your personal luggage

Day 5 – Hike around

Day 6 – Camp 1 (5400)

Day 7 – Hike to 6100, overnight on 5400

Day 8 – Descent to BC

Day 9 – Rest

Day 10 – Rest

Day 11 – Camp 1 (5400)

Day 12 – Camp 2 (6100)

Day 13 – Climb peak Lenin

Day 14 – Descent to BC, reserve

Day 15 – Reserve

Day 16 – Reserve

Day 17 - Reserve

Day 18 – Trek to Achik-Tash camp

Day 19 – Transfer to Osh

Day 20 – Flight back

 

Land cost for 2012 is 1500 Euro

 

Included:

  1. Mountain guide (1 for 5-6 clients on acclimatization and 1 for 3-4 clients on the summit day)
  2. All the transfers by the program
  3. All the accomodation by the program and rent of tents for high camps though bringing up is not included
  4. Food and gas for high camps, breakfasts, lunches and dinners in Base camp and on the way. Breakfasts and dinners in the cities.
